What this is
This textbook page guides you on your immediate options now that TutorClaw is running. The transition from installation to usage is quick and simple.
Why it matters
Understanding how to prompt and test your local assistant helps you build confidence before enabling advanced tools or integrations.
1. Start Your First Conversation
Once the dashboard opens in your browser, the best first step is to type a message in the chat. Try asking:
"I am new to TutorClaw. What should I do after setup?"
2. Meet Your Local Assistant
When running the assistant locally, you can interact with your local assistant to practice lessons, ask questions, and test new capabilities on your machine. Address the assistant as you prefer; it is fully ready to help you learn.
3. Explore Supported Skills
TutorClaw features several guided setups and supported skills that you can configure as you get more comfortable:
- Phone Chat (Telegram): Connect TutorClaw to your phone to chat on the go.
- Calendar Sync: Connect TutorClaw in read-only mode to your Google Calendar so it can help summarize your schedule.
Use Chat as the Lab
Go back to your active chat workspace (the lab) and try asking:
What do I do next? How do I set up Phone Chat? Can you read my calendar?
